Abstract: (Original article)
The aim of this study is to identify the impact of social health and its subscales on quality of life. This is a correlational study that was conducted on 330 people who were selected by stratified random sampling method. The data collection tool in this study included two questionnaires SF36 quality of life and Keyes social health assessment and a checklist of employee demographic information. Descriptive statistics, and 2 chi and Mann-Whitney U tests were used to analyze the data. The research findings show that there is a positive relationship between social health and the level of quality of life of employees. Also, in examining the relationship between the dimensions of social health and quality of life, out of the 5 subscales of social health, only two subscales of social cohesion and social flourishing were significantly related to quality of life. The existence of a positive relationship between social health and the psychological dimension of quality of life indicates the importance of mental and psychological issues and a sense of satisfaction in raising the level of social health. The existence of a significant relationship between social cohesion and quality of life indicates the direct impact of belonging to society on the physical and psychological quality of life of individuals, and the relationship between the level of education, gender, and job category with the level of quality of life can, to some extent, indicate the low importance of these factors compared to age and years of service, which are combined with experience and acquisition of more skills in the workplace.
