The Managing Director and Concessionaire of the Children's Utopia Quarterly and the Director of the Children's Scientific Group of the UNESCO Chair: The International Symposium on Children's Utopia will be held on May 14 and 15, 2021, hosted by the Tabriz Municipality, with the aim of expanding the scope of influence and increasing the participation of the provinces. This event will be held in cooperation with Dr. Yaghoub Hoshyar, the Honorable Mayor of Tabriz, and Dr. Ezzati, the Deputy Minister of Architecture and Urban Development of Tabriz Municipality.

Seyyed Kazem Seyyed Morad, Managing Director and Concessionaire of the Children's Utopia Quarterly, referring to the importance of this event, stated: "Our goal in holding this symposium is to increase scientific and technical knowledge among stakeholders and decision-makers, review and evaluate scientific and research projects, build the capacity of projects with an approach to exploitation and investment by the private sector, and explain the concept of a child-friendly city. This event will be a platform for reflection and interaction among experts, policymakers, and urban managers."

The Role of Children in Urban Design
Seyed Murad emphasized the importance of children’s presence in the urban decision-making process and stated: “Putting children at the center of urban design will not only improve their quality of life, but will also create a safer, more sustainable, and more inclusive city for all citizens.”

The editor of the Children’s utopia quarterly magazine also said in this regard: “Safe, flexible, and inclusive cities are the right of every citizen, especially children. Addressing their needs and opinions in urban planning and design will guide the path of urban development towards a better future.”

An opportunity for expert interaction and reflection
He also noted: “This symposium is a platform for expressing challenges and presenting new solutions in the field of child-friendly cities and provides the opportunity for interaction between activists in this field and the public and private sectors.”

Invitation to participate in the international event
Seyed Murad concluded by stating: "This event is not only an opportunity for experts in the field of architecture and urban planning to gather, but also provides a platform for benefiting from the experiences of distinguished and veterans in this field. Experience-based specialized meetings will be held to facilitate communication between the new generation of architects and experienced experts."

He invited all activists in the field of children, students, professors, city managers and interested parties to contribute to the development of child-friendly cities by actively participating in this symposium. This event will be held at the international level and provides a unique opportunity for interaction and exchange of experiences between domestic and foreign experts. The Children's Utopia Symposium, with the support and cooperation of Tabriz Municipality, is trying to take an effective step towards improving the quality of life of children and creating better cities for the future by developing this event at the national and international levels.
