In recognition of Bank Pasargad's ten years of commitment to advancing social health, the UNESCO Chair on Social Health and Development recognized, appreciated and honored the bank. UNESCO collaborates with various stakeholders such as governments, civil society, and the private sector through its affiliated units such as UNESCO Chairs to achieve its development goals.
As one of the leading economic institutions in promoting social health within society and carrying out social responsibility, Bank Pasargad has continuously undertaken extensive initiatives in educational, social, disability, and sports sectors, as well as providing philanthropic aid over the past 10 years with the aim of actively participating in the improvement of social health and national development.
Over the past decade, Bank Pasargad has constructed and inaugurated 46 schools in deprived areas of the country to provide quality education for children and youth, with an additional 9 schools currently under construction. Furthermore, in order to improve access to libraries for children, adolescents, and youth in needy areas, Bank Pasargad has thus far established 22 libraries in 6 provinces, with 18 libraries fully operational and 4 libraries in the construction phase.
Supporting 237 elite scholars and top performers from universities, as well as establishing Khatam University to train skilled professionals, are among the bank's initiatives geared towards focusing on education in the realm of social responsibility.
Additionally, Bank Pasargad has initiated to establish health towns in 7 cities across Iran to enhance overall physical health as a crucial component of societal health. The bank has also collaborated with the Iranian Autism Society on joint programs aimed at empowering and improving the welfare of individuals with autism and their families to alleviate their challenges.
In its efforts to enhance the lives of people with disabilities, Bank Pasargad has introduced knowledge-based products that have significantly and positively impacted the lives of people with disabilities. Moreover, the country's sports community, across championship, professional, and public sectors, has benefited from collaborations and support from Bank Pasargad, contributing to the advancement of the nation's sports sector.
The UNESCO Chair, while acknowledging and honoring Bank Pasargad's ten-year activities in the field of social health, particularly in education and capacity building areas, appreciates the bank's proactive initiatives in various social health domains and hopes that such actions and activities by Bank Pasargad and other organizations and companies will continue to progress, leading to continuous and enhanced social health development in Iranian society.
